TCFD Report 2023

Thoughts on climate change

In recent years, due to increased industrial activity, the concentration of greenhouse gases has increased, and global warming is progressing. If global warming continues without effective countermeasures, the climate will change significantly, causing sea level rise and abnormal weather, which could have a major impact on the habitats of humans and other living things. Furthermore, natural disasters such as large typhoons, heavy rains, and associated floods occur frequently in Japan, and there are concerns that the damage will become more serious as global warming progresses.

Against this background, the social responsibility and role of companies is increasing, and there is a strong need to transform management, business, and business models based on sustainability. Changes in the business environment due to expected future changes in the weather environment and tightening of environmental regulations can present both business risks and opportunities, so companies can You can increase your resilience.
