―― You have been involved in the design and construction of various models and shapes such as museums and corporate exhibition facilities. How are you involved in this pavilion?

I am engaged in the production of a diorama that is displayed in the pavilion while cooperating with a model production company, a hardware production company, and a lighting company. Using our past experience in producing large-scale dioramas, we want to supervise so that inexperienced people including the client can proceed with the production with confidence and smoothly.

Can you tell us about your enthusiasm for creating a diorama.

―― Can you tell us about your enthusiasm for creating a diorama.

I believe that we must not only provide children who visit this Expo with something that will move them at the time, but that they will remember as a happy memory in their lives 50 years from now. We would like visitors to see a large city diorama that is unparalleled in Japan.

―― Please tell us your impressions and favorite parts of this pavilion.

The people involved might get angry, but when I first saw the image perspective, I thought that it looked like a very tasty donut! Although the Expo pavilion generally has a very impressive and sharp design, the building gives a very warm and gentle impression. I think it is very unique. Also, I thought that the exhibition concept of "TADAIMA" was also excellent as a pavilion for housing manufacturers.

What do you want visitors to feel?

―― What do you want visitors to feel?

At a time when disasters, extreme weather, and wars that were unimaginable a long time ago are becoming commonplace, I hope that young visitors will be given brighter hope for the future by looking at the diorama model of a city in the near future where they can live with a sense of security.
