Employee interview

Iida Group Holdings
General Affairs Department

1st year mid-career

  • Please tell me why you wanted to join Iida Group Holdings

I joined the company because I wanted to participate in a company that has the best track record of supplying detached houses in Japan, take on the challenge of large-scale and strategic projects, and contribute to society in the housing industry. The company's values and my own aspirations coincided with this, so I joined the company. Also, since it has been 10 years since Holdings was established, some parts of the company are still in the process of development, so I thought I would be able to find job satisfaction and growth opportunities at the company.

  • Please tell us about the work you are currently in charge of.

Currently, I belong to the General Affairs Department, and am in charge of all general affairs, including the maintenance and management of the Company's properties such as the head office building, management of equipment, management of shareholder meetings, group insurance, etc. We also operate Sumaiida Nursery School, a company-led childcare business.

  • Please tell us about your daily work flow.

In the morning, I check emails and prepare for the day's meetings, and then I go around the building to maintain and manage the properties I own. Basically, my schedule is flexible, and I sometimes fill it with meetings, etc., and sometimes I spend time creating materials. Additionally, if there are any inconveniences within the building or work-related, each department will contact us, and we will consider countermeasures depending on the level of importance and respond accordingly. Since there are not many tasks that can be completed within the General Affairs Department, we place emphasis on smooth communication and cooperation with other departments.

  • Please tell us about the rewarding, rewarding, and interesting aspects of your work.

Since it is part of the general affairs department, I mainly work as an unsung hero for the company. It is important to know how to make the workplace and business run smoothly and how to solve problems, so I believe that the real pleasure is to be able to improve the company by holding discussions with not only your own department but also related departments. I am.

  • Please tell me about your colleagues, boss, and the atmosphere at work.

The number of employees at Holdings alone is about 120, so I feel that the company as a whole is close and has an atmosphere that makes it easy to communicate.

  • What is important to you in your work?

The most important things in our work are communication and cooperation. Even in casual, everyday communication, information can be shared and misunderstandings can be prevented. Collaboration improves the atmosphere at work and allows us to work together to achieve goals. I feel that building good relationships with those around me is essential to the success of my work, as it can lead to a smooth resolution when a problem occurs.

  • Please tell us about a particularly memorable job.

The management of the general meeting of shareholders is memorable. Since it was an important event for a listed company, there was pressure and it took a considerable amount of time to prepare, but thanks to the cooperation of people inside and outside the company, the day went smoothly without any major problems, and it was a great experience.

  • What do you think has contributed to your personal growth through your work?

There are very few tasks that can be completed by one person alone, so I believe that diligent preparation and coordination to gain the cooperation of various people both inside and outside the company has led to my personal growth. I feel that by doing detailed research on my own and listening to other people's opinions in advance, I am able to respond more flexibly when faced with difficult situations. I also became more aware of my strengths and weaknesses, and was able to learn the skills I need to grow in the future.

  • Please tell us about the ease of working at Iida Group Holdings through your past work.

I think it's a good place to work because there are only about 120 employees, and there are no walls between people in other departments or superiors, making it easy to communicate. I think there are still things that can be improved in terms of systems and equipment, so I would like to create a better work environment as a member of the General Affairs Department.

  • Is there a gap between your image and what you had before joining the company?

I was worried because I had an image of the real estate industry as being demanding, with an athletic club, and being demanding and focused on quotas and numbers, but after joining the company, contrary to my expectations, the workplace was relatively calm. Many of my colleagues valued communication, and there was an atmosphere of understanding and cooperation.

  • Is there a company system that you often use?

I use the company-operated "Sumaiida Nursery School *". I commute to work with my children every day, drop them off at daycare, and then go to work. It gives you a sense of security that your child is nearby, and it's convenient because it saves time when dropping off and picking up children.

    * Sumaiida Nursery School
This is an in-house daycare center operated within the head office building. Iida Group Holdings provides an environment where employees with small children can work with peace of mind.

  • Please tell us about the work you would like to experience in the future and your goals.

In the General Affairs Department, rather than mastering a specialized area, we hope to gain experience in a wide range of fields so that the operations of the company as a whole can run smoothly. I think one of the appeals of the General Affairs Department is that you can interact with all departments, so in the future I would like to be involved in events that I rarely get involved with, such as the Osaka/Kansai Expo.

  • Please give a message to those who are interested in working at Iida Group Holdings

I believe that our company is a workplace where you can take on new challenges and grow together with your colleagues. Let's value cooperation and communication, and leverage each other's strengths to build success as a team.
